Escape the Cold at the Sweatshirt and Soup Lunch Not Far From Camp LeJeune
March 3, 2015
When there's a chill in the air, soup becomes the ultimate comfort food. It warms you up from the inside out and keeps the cold weather at bay. Perhaps the only way to feel even cozier while eating soup is by donning your comfiest sweatshirt while you partake. Cue Sweatshirt and Soup Lunch, an annual event held by the city of Jacksonville at the Jacksonville Commons near Camp LeJeune.
This year, the Sweatshirt and Soup Lunch will take place on Friday, January 16 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. If you're a chef yourself, feel free to bring along your favorite soup to share—doing so will earn you free admission. Anyone who doesn't have the time to make a batch of soup can simply put on a sweatshirt and pay $5 to join in the fun at the Sweatshirt and Soup Lunch.
